Don Bosco School, Jharmari is a Christian minority school belonging to the Society of Salesians of Don Bosco. St. John Bosco, known popularly as Don Bosco, meaning Fr. Bosco, was a man chosen by God to take special care of the young. He endeared himself to the young and spared no efforts to give them opportunities to mold themselves into God-fearing men and honest citizens. Don Bosco’s life was totally dedicated to the welfare of the young. He would tell his youngsters –“for you I study, for you I work, for you I am even ready to lay down my life’. His fundamental educational principles were based on conviction, prevention of faults, loving kindness and a holy fear of God. The congregation he founded is known as ‘Salesians of Don Bosco’ and we have institutions in 134 countries of the world. Being part of the ‘Don Bosco Group of Institutions,’ Don Bosco School, Jharmari has an international image as well.
